About this event
SURGE Youth Summit is a dynamic, one-day leadership and personal development experience that brings together more than 180 high school students from across Palm Beach County for a day of inspiration, education, and empowerment. Designed to help young people discover their purpose and maximize their potential, the summit provides interactive experiences that strengthen leadership skills, build confidence, and prepare participants for success in school, careers, and life.
Throughout the day, participants rotate through five engaging breakout sessions led by community leaders and subject-matter experts covering topics such as emotional regulation, decision-making, financial literacy, peer leadership, and personal growth. Students also enjoy snacks and lunch while connecting with mentors, volunteers, and peers in a supportive environment.
The experience culminates with an inspiring keynote speaker and a high-energy closing plenary featuring a popular musical artist, leaving participants motivated to become positive leaders in their schools and communities.
Hosted in collaboration with SURGE, MySuspire, FAU Kreyol, and Young Men of Distinction, the summit aims to create lasting impact by increasing participants’ knowledge, leadership skills, and confidence. Success is measured through pre- and post-event surveys, participant engagement, testimonials, and connections to ongoing mentoring and community resources.
